Description

The Canon New F-1 is a professional 35mm SLR film camera designed for durability and precise manual operation. Its modular system supports interchangeable viewfinders, focusing screens, and motorized accessories, allowing photographers to configure the camera for different shooting requirements.

The camera features a horizontal-travel focal-plane shutter with speeds up to 1/2000 second and TTL metering when used with a compatible finder. Manual exposure control provides direct adjustment of shutter speed and aperture, while compatible AE finders enable aperture-priority automatic exposure.

The included Canon New FD 50mm F1.2 is a fast standard prime lens with a bright maximum aperture for low-light photography and shallow depth of field. Its 50mm focal length is well suited to everyday scenes, portraits, and documentary photography.

With manual focusing, an eight-blade diaphragm, and a compact optical design, the lens offers straightforward control over focus and exposure. Together, the Canon New F-1 and New FD 50mm F1.2 provide a classic film photography setup combining professional camera controls with a fast standard lens.
