Description

The Sigma 50-500mm f/4-6.3 EX DG HSM APO delivers sharp images at the 50–200mm range, with the 200mm focal length often considered its sweet spot. However, image sharpness tends to degrade beyond 300mm, especially at 500mm, where softness and chromatic aberration can become noticeable. Stopping down the aperture can improve image quality, but the lens's relatively slow maximum aperture and lack of optical stabilization may require higher ISO settings or tripod use for optimal results. 

Autofocus performance is enhanced by the HSM, providing quick and silent focusing, which is beneficial for capturing fast-moving subjects. The lens also features Full-Time Manual Focus, allowing for fine-tuning focus adjustments without switching modes.
