Description

The Nikon D700 is a professional-oriented FX-format DSLR introduced in 2008, bringing much of the imaging technology developed for Nikon's flagship D3 into a more compact body. Its 12.1-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor is particularly well suited to low-light photography, with a native ISO range of 200–6400 and expansion up to ISO 25,600 equivalent. The large FX sensor also provides the familiar full-frame perspective and depth-of-field characteristics associated with 35mm-format photography.

The D700 offers a substantial optical pentaprism viewfinder, a 51-point Multi-CAM 3500FX autofocus system with 3D Focus Tracking, and continuous shooting at up to 5 fps. Its rugged body and extensive physical controls give it the handling expected of a professional DSLR, while the 3-inch high-resolution LCD and Live View support provide additional flexibility for composition and review.

The included AF-S DX Nikkor 18-70mm F3.5-4.5G IF-ED is a standard zoom originally designed for Nikon DX-format DSLRs.
