Description

The Minox LX is a premium 8x11mm subminiature film camera introduced in 1978. Designed and manufactured in Germany, it represents an advanced development of the classic Minox camera concept, combining precision engineering with an exceptionally compact body.

It features a built-in 15mm f/3.5 MINOX lens with fixed focus, designed specifically for the small 8x11mm film format. The optical system provides sharp imaging across its intended focusing range, making it suitable for close-up documentation and everyday photography.

The LX offers both automatic and manual shutter control, with speeds ranging from 1/2000 second to approximately 15 seconds in automatic mode. Its built-in silicon photodiode exposure meter, adjustable film-speed settings, and switchable neutral-density filter provide greater exposure control.

With its push-pull film transport, bright-frame viewfinder, and remarkably lightweight construction, the Minox LX is a distinctive example of German precision camera engineering and an appealing collectible for enthusiasts of subminiature photography.
