Description

The Tamron SP AF 24-135mm F3.5-5.6 AD Aspherical [IF] Macro is a versatile standard zoom lens designed for full-frame 35mm SLR cameras. With its broad 24–135mm focal-length range, it covers wide-angle scenes, everyday photography, portraits, and short telephoto compositions in a single lens.

Part of Tamron's SP (Super Performance) series, the lens features an optical design incorporating hybrid aspherical elements and AD (Anomalous Dispersion) glass to help control optical aberrations. Its internal focusing system keeps the lens length consistent during focusing and allows convenient use of compatible polarizing filters.

A notable feature is its 0.4m minimum focusing distance throughout the zoom range, achieving a maximum magnification of approximately 1:3.3 at 135mm. This close-focusing capability makes it useful for flowers, food, product photography, and other detailed subjects without requiring a dedicated macro lens.

The Canon EF-mount version supports autofocus on compatible Canon EOS cameras. With its combination of wide-angle coverage, telephoto reach, and close-up versatility, this Tamron SP zoom is a practical option for photographers seeking an all-purpose lens for film and full-frame digital photography.
