Description

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX150 is a premium compact digital camera from 2008, built around a 1/1.72-inch CCD sensor with approximately 14.7 effective megapixels. It pairs the high-resolution sensor with a Leica DC Vario-Elmarit 3.6× optical zoom covering a versatile 28–100mm equivalent range, with a bright f/2.8 maximum aperture at the wide end.

The FX150 is notable for offering more advanced photographic control than many compact cameras of its period. In addition to Program AE and Intelligent Auto modes, it provides Manual Exposure, exposure compensation, Auto Bracketing, multiple metering modes, and RAW recording.

Panasonic's MEGA O.I.S. optical image stabilization helps reduce camera shake, while the autofocus system includes Face Detection, AF Tracking, multi-area focusing, and Spot AF. The camera also offers a dedicated High Sensitivity mode extending the selectable sensitivity range up to ISO 6400, although at reduced image quality compared with its standard ISO settings.
